Bondi Top – A Sewing Pattern Review

I am always on the lookout for new indie sewing pattern designers and sometime they can be hard to find. So I got  quite excited when I stumbled across Lindsey’s website Sew To Grow.

And I instantly fell in love with her Bondi Top pattern. I knew I had to try to it!

It feels like it sews up in a matter of minutes! Well, I think it took me 2h from start to finish.

I decided to bias bind the sleeves as well as the neckline. I just prefer the finished look of bias binding. And you could add some creative contrast there as well…

And will you please look at the design options for this back yoke! You can contrast, match, colour block ot totally clash fabric patterns. I love a versatile sewing pattern that allows for some creativity.

I have sewn up a straight size Large the way it comes. I could have gone a size down I think, or done and FBA and a sway back adjustment on a size Medium. But to be honest I like the more casual fit for the hot summer days! It gives the summer breeze a chance to get in there and do it’s cooling job 😉

To sum it up: Easy peasy sewing and a flattering casual fit! Love it. ….I think we need a class for this one, don’t you think?!
